The hospitality industry is the third most targeted sector worldwide for cyberattacks. More travelers mean an influx of personal data to protect from identity theft, resale, and spear phishing. 2024 has been the busiest travel year on record, with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reporting that 9 out of the 10 busiest ever travel days happened this year.

Protecting a global organization is challenging when security teams are short-staffed, lack the right tools, and struggle to communicate risks— even more so when data volumes and attack surfaces explode. However, there are steps that those managing cyber risk can take today to improve their cybersecurity posture and be ready for the next big travel season.
